Facebook's Pixel remarketing is one of the most valuable marketing platforms for advertisers. What separates Facebook's Pixel from any other remarketing platform is that Facebook knows it's user on an almost personal level. This widget will allow you to add Facebook's Pixel to your website and customize it to track specific purchases.

How to use

If you don't already have a Facebook advertising account, create one here. Once your account is set up, you'll need to create a pixel. Select Tools and in the drop-down, select Conversion Tracking.

Assuming that this is your first Pixel, the next screen you'll see will explain what a Pixel is and how it works. Click Create Pixel.

Now choose what your want the Pixel to track, you'll have 6 options:

  1. Checkout
  2. Registration
  3. Leads
  4. Key Page Views
  5. Add to Cart
  6. Other

Look at these actions as categories. The action that you choose to have Facebook measure won't change the way that ad operates so don't worry too much about what you're wanting to track.

Now give your Pixel a name and click Create Pixel.

Once your Pixel is created, you'll see it located on your new Conversion Tracking page. Find the Pixel you created and under Pixel Name, copy the ID.

Now just paste your copied ID into your widget and publish your website!

Verify That Your Pixel Is Working

The Pixel can be easily verified by downloading Facebook's Pixel Helper extension for Google Chrome.
